CULTURECON • MUSEUM OF US

Context

CultureCon’s 2026 theme, “Museum of Us,” celebrated Black creativity as culture being made in real time. As Senior Designer, I translated the festival’s creative direction across its website, email, animation, print, and environmental graphics.

Opportunity

Make the museum a world attendees could enter before arriving. The experience needed to carry the theme from digital discovery to the festival grounds while keeping a growing program of speakers, events, and attendee information easy to navigate.

Approach

Use CultureCon's creative direction to frame the people and ideas at the center of theme. Ornate frames, gallery walls, and museum labels connected the website and communications to the physical environment. I balanced those expressive elements with clear information hierarchy, adapting the system from handheld materials to large-scale installations.

Impact

A continuous expression of “Museum of Us” across the attendee journey. The website introduced the world; email and animation extended it; maps, schedules, badges, signage, and environmental graphics brought it into the festival experience for the community.
